The Alnwick Garden is situated in North Northumberland roughly 35 miles from the thriving city of Newcastle. This area of Northumbria offers the very best in outdoor pursuits.

Beach lovers will adore the miles of unspoilt coast which is the ideal place to indulge in sailing, surfing and diving. Alnwick is situated just 4 miles from the coast and yet is surrounded by rolling countryside and wild moorland.

An area which is noted in the history books, Northumbria is home to Hadrian's Wall, numerous castles with their many and varied tales and also Lindisfarne, the Holy Island, home of St. Bede.

Alnmouth is the nearest railway station (4 miles away) on the main London to Edinburgh east coast route. A taxi or bus can be taken from Alnmouth to Alnwick

By Air and Sea
Newcastle upon Tyne (35 miles) has regular ferry services from Scandinavia and Holland. International and domestic flights land at Newcastle airport.
