Working for The Garden
As a major cultural development project The Alnwick Garden is the largest tourist attraction in Northumberland. It already brings employment, education and a broader economic base to this rural area.
As a new business the working environment at The Garden is a dynamic one with work across a broad spectrum of career paths. Most jobs here involve dealing with visitors, or potential visitors, and so The Garden is dedicated to the highest standards in customer service. Therefore attitude and aptitude can be more important than lots of experience. In some roles we can offer real flexibility, and there are opportunities for people with all kinds of needs.
A diverse group of people are needed to drive forward a project of this scale:

. Retail sales staff
. Customer service staff, including admissions staff, car parking staff, guides and hosts
. Administration staff
. Food and beverage and events staff, including à la carte staff for The Treehouse
. Artists
. Arts and education staff
. Specialist water engineers
. Marketing staff

Every year, we employ extra staff during the busy summer season. Our summer recruitment takes place well before the summer begins, with applications considered in the spring. If you would like to spend your summer working for The Garden, please make sure your application is with us by the end of the previous March. You need to be prepared to work at weekends which is our busiest time. We welcome applications from people of all ages, however our minimum age is usually 16, there is no upper age limit.
